Backhoes

If a contractor needs to dig and load, it's usually better to have both units in one in the form of a backhoe and front loaer. A backhoe front loader can save a lot of time (and money) because the operator doesn't have to switch between two different pieces of equipment.

Backhoes have been around more nearly 50 years and they are more popular than ever. Caterpillar has sold hundreds of thousands of backhoes. Bbackhoes have been busy at work because digging and moving dirt is a big part of most projects. If you think about it, ditch digging is important for a variety of projects, to lay pipes and underground cable, to set up foundations for buildings and create drainage systems. Some equipment is better at digging ditches than a backhoe but backhoes offer a nice combination of size, flexibility and cost for most projects.

Backhoe loaders, commonly called backhoes are used for a number of different jobs and are often the only piece of heavy equipment at a construction site. The backhoe is the main tool of the backhoe loader. It's used to dig up hard, compact material, usually earth, or to lift heavy loads, and lift this material and drop it in a pile to the side of the hole or into a dump truck. Backhoes typically have a loader attached to the front of the tractor (called a front loader). These front loaders are used to scoop larger quantities of material into dump trucks. When shopping for a backhoe, remember that you can often find attractive lease or rental options that will save you over the cost of purchasing a new or used backhoe.
